    Job Description
    Our client, a leading ingredient company, is currently seeking an accomplished Plant Engineer to join the team.

    Here is an overview of the role:
    1) Engage in Safety Teams to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
    2) Foster collaboration with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to champion process enhancements, including the integration of automation and technology
    3) Formulate manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to advance efficient crew and facility utilization
    4) Manage multiple projects concurrently, which involves monitoring project costs and collecting data from both internal and external sources
    5) Evaluate existing operations and propose justified improvements in terms of cost
    6) Identify and vet vendors, suppliers, contractors, and service providers
    7) Solicit competitive bids when required and negotiate contract amounts
    8) Oversee vendor and contractor performance in terms of safety, quality, productivity, and value
    9) Supervise and authorize invoices and other payments after goods and services have been delivered and completed in accordance with agreed-upon requirements
    10) Create scopes of work and prepare project budgets and cost estimates in line with project requirements for safety, quality, mechanical and electrical integrity, scheduling, timing, and budget
    11) Ensure coordination and maintain regular communication about overall project progress among all parties involved in planning and executing company projects
    12) Inform management about any project delays or budgetary challenges, and suggest alternative measures to maintain schedules and budgets
    13) Conduct factory acceptance tests, induced failure tests, commissioning, and decommissioning activities, as well as provide leadership for new process start-ups
    14) Strategize, coordinate, and oversee activities related to the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
    15) Evaluate workstation designs for ergonomic compliance
    16) Optimize the utilization of floor space, materials, personnel, and equipment
    17) Develop simplified work methods and job aids
    18) Execute other duties as required
    Critical Requirements
    1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
    2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
    3) Recent experience in the ingredient industry is strongly preferred
    4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in engineering
