Warehouse Manager
is an integral part of this process, overseeing a team that counts, cleans, repairs, puts away and preps inventory for orders using established systems and working to develop new ones as well.
Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate with General Manager and Delivery Manager on delivery and pick up schedule and monitor manpower requirements as well as equipment availability and readiness
Schedule daily delegation of workload
Develop and maintain an annual calendar of maintenance
Maintain inventory control of warehouse and update counter personnel on inventory daily
Ensure that all equipment flows through the proper cleaning and maintenance processes ending with being returned to its assigned bin location in a timely manner
Assure that all machines and tools are maintained in a safe condition for operation
Supervise duties and activities of the warehouse and delivery personnel when in the warehouse and observe day-to-day operations and special projects.
Assist staff with various problems throughout the dayAssist sales staff when complaints and emergencies arise by investigating and solving the problems of equipment
Supervise and execute the periodic cleaning, repair and refinishing of equipment
Supervise and assist in the loading and unloading of company delivery vehicles
Supervise and assist in the loading and unloading of customer owned vehicles
Communicate to employees and customers on the safe handling, transportation, and operation of equipment
Meet with other members of management to discuss policies and problems, and make recommendations
Stay informed of equipment failures and safety violations
Address, correct, and report safety violations to the General Manager as needed
Verify counts from Delivery Driver's pick-ups prior to unloading
Turn in all forms and money collected to the Dispatcher
Train staff on the proper loading and unloading procedures, forklift operation and safe warehouse practices and ensure that company procedures are being followed
Train staff on the proper cleaning procedures and oversee follow-through with an emphasis on outcome not on process
Train staff on the "Ready to Rent" procedures and oversee proper usage
Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
Represent your department at management and companywide meetings
Conduct department, store and safety meetings upon requested
Attend department, store and safety meetings.
Perform other duties as requested.
Working Conditions:
Must stand and be on your feet for long periods of time, likely the entire day
Most work is indoor in general warehouse conditions in which there is minimal heat and air conditioning
Some work will occur in the yard around our warehouse in all weather conditions
Occasionally, less than 10% of the time, work will occur off site, usually in an outdoor setting
Constant bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking
Continual communication with co-workers and customers
Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED
Prior warehouse experience is a plus
Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs
Must maintain a professional personal appearance
Must possess customer relation skills
Must maintain a valid driver's license
Must be able to use math to solve problems
Computer knowledge is preferred. Training on rental software will be provided.
Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak other languages is a plus.
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
Must have a full range of motion and dexterity.
Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers.
Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience and offer constructive criticism when necessary.
