    Outpatient Neurology APP - New Hampshire, United States - Dartmouth Health

    Description

    Dartmouth Neurology is committed to providing exceptional neurological care to a diverse patient population, staying true to innovation, excellence, and compassionate care. Join our team of skilled professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment. We are currently in search of a dedicated Outpatient Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to complement our neurology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a deep interest in neurology, and a patient-centered approach. Experience is preferred but not mandatory.

    • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, covering medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic test reviews.
    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic neurological conditions like migraines, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and neuropathies.
    • Collaborate with neurologists and healthcare professionals to design personalized treatment plans.
    • Prescribe medications and therapies, offering patient education on condition management and lifestyle adjustments.
    • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including lumbar punctures, EMGs, and nerve conduction studies.
    • Manage side effects and complications of neurological treatments.
    • Coordinate patient care with various specialties to ensure holistic treatment.
    • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
    • Mentor new Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
    • Engage in research and continuing education to be up-to-date with neurology practices.
    • Uphold professional standards and ethics outlined by Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
    • Attend continuing education programs for professional development.
    • Advocate for patient rights, privacy, and informed consent.
    • Offer compassionate support and address patient and family concerns.
    • Fulfill additional assigned duties as necessary.
    Requirements
    • Demonstrated interest in neurology.
    • Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
    • Maintain current licensure as an APRN or PA, with DEA registration and national certification.
    • Possess strong clinical skills with an evidence-based focus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setup.
    • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
