Strong knowledge of the Medicaid application process and requirements
Must have strong organizational skills with high level notice of details
Good verbal and written communication skills
Must have reliable means of transportation
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all stages of the Medicaid application and conversion process in order to ensure financial eligibility
Processing of all appropriate forms applicable to the Massachusetts state requirements
Meet with residents/families in timely manner
Monitor and document the progress of the pending Medicaid cases
Communicate resident responsibility, discuss and bill estimated Patient Liability
Monitor admissions who do not have a supplemental plan and notify centers
Respond to denials, which may include attendance of appeals or submission of reapplication
Work in collaboration with the A/R Coordinators/Business Office staff to coordinate efforts to approval
Manage legal referrals and respond with staff input
Attend court hearings
Track SCO admissions for conversions
Coordinate with PACE offices for conversions
Prepare reports and attend A/R Collection meetings with Regional team
Maintain and distribute admission flag list
