Job Summary

An MRI technologist performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images following physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures; assess clinical histories and contraindications (e.g., implants, foreign bodies).
  • Adjust imaging parameters and equipment settings to optimize image quality while maintaining safety standards.
