- Lead Test Engineering at Redwire Space Sensors, Littleton, CO.
- Engage in people management for half of the role, and execute test engineer duties for the other half.
- Collaborate with program managers, systems engineers, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and quality managers to ensure tests are carried out as planned.
- Supervise recruitment, performance evaluation, mentorship, training, and career development of Test Engineers and Technicians.
- Create and manage employee schedules and resource plans.
- Develop and implement test plans and procedures.
- Oversee reviews of test requirements and data.
- Monitor program and capital expenditure budgets for Test Engineering.
- Conduct root cause analyses, investigate failures, and implement corrective measures.
- Participate in proposal activities by formulating execution plans, estimating task costs, and reviewing project expenses.
- Provide updates on status, critical paths, challenges, and recommended solutions.
- Drive initiatives for process enhancement.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to assess new technologies for expanding testing capabilities.
- Interface with senior management for effective information dissemination.
- Serve as the main representative for Test Engineering.
- May require some travel.
- Capability to support testing beyond regular business hours as per program requirements.
- B.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the aerospace/space industry.
- Prior experience leading sections or a small department.
- Over 2 years of experience in managing technical teams.
- Proficiency in project planning and execution.
- Experience in New Product Introduction, from requirements to product manufacturing and testing.
- Must be a U.S. citizen based in Littleton, CO.
- Hands-on test engineering experience (e.g., EMI/EMC, Shock, Vibration, TVAC).
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong technical and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration, status updates, and analysis documentation.
- Familiarity with AS9100 accreditation.
- Certification in Project Management.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and communication.
- Ability to mentor engineers.
- Experience in anomaly investigations.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing continuous improvements.
- Knowledge in requirement derivation, verification, and management strategies.
- Experience in specifying and utilizing test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.

Summary
Redwire Space is in need of a Test Engineering Manager to lead our team in Littleton, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting engineering excellence, managing talent, and overseeing testing for our innovative projects.
