    Job Title: Clinical Nurse Leader at UM Rehab & Ortho Institute

    Location: Baltimore, Maryland

    General Summary

    This role is for a clinical and professional leader at the unit level, focusing on advancing evidence-based practices and coaching others.

      Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

    Clinical Practice:

    • Provides independent care to specific patient population
    • Serves as a Clinical Resource for others
    • Advances clinical practice through evidence integration
    • Functions effectively in unit roles such as charge nurse

    Service/Quality:

    • Leads nursing quality improvement efforts
    • Monitors patient and unit safety standards
    • Coaches on performance improvement and evidence-based practice
    • Participates in regulatory activities

    Unit Operations:

    • Performs charge role as scheduled
    • Oversees unit orientation program
    • Mentors and coaches other nurses
    • Facilitates shared governance structure

    Professional Development:

    • Serves as an expert preceptor and mentor
    • Coaches unit leaders and governance roles
    • Advances ancillary personnel's skills
    • Actively engaged in advancing own practice
