    TAI APPAREL

    TITLE: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

    DETAILS: MINNEAPOLIS OR REMOTE

    ABOUT TAI APPAREL:

    · Apparel manufacturer with US Sales, Design, and Product team based domestically (MLSP/LA) and overseas

    · Specialize in knit apparel with new business in woven apparel

    · US Production and Sourcing team based in China driving a fast fashion speed to market business model

    · Product categories include junior, missy, plus, mens, girls, big boy, toddler, infant and maternity

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Do you have Factoring / Funding (finance: lines of credit, etc) experience and relationships?
    • Do you have experience with cash flow forecasting?
    • Experience dealing with overseas manufacturing, import/export, vendor PO management and payables?
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
    • 5+ years' work experience in financing for a wholesale vendor (major retailers shipping/receiving, payment terms, factory payment, royalties, discounts/chargebacks)
    • QuickBooks experience
    • Bank factoring + early pay experience
    • Comprehensive understanding of working with license royalties
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Self-motivated, collaborative, organized, pro-active, assertive, team player
    • Operates with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    FINANCIAL REPORTS:

    • Review, reconcile and report monthly financial statements to leadership team
    • Margin analysis reviews
    • Review Discounts and communicate necessary adjustments to costing process: Digital Accruals, Chargebacks, Discounts, etc
    • Analyze and manage ideal profit + expense ratios

    Profit; guide decision making on programs we take/reject

    Expenses: suggest expense cuts needed

    • Understanding of Beginning + Ending Inventory

    QUICKBOOKS

    • Reconcile monthly QuickBooks

    ROYALTIES:

    • Forecast royalties monthly
    • Analyze royalty rate + impact to margin and program/total sales mix
    • Pull quarterly royalty reports

    BANKING

    • Manage factoring + early payment programs, paperwork, relationships + deliverables
    • Manage terms + cash flow and create a financial plan

    PAYMENTS

    • Manage Accounts Receivable and projected cash flow
    • Manage Accounts Payable: understand and manage vendor payments/terms

    PROGRAM ANALYSIS

    • Expense/margin reconciliation of programs after costing: shipping, freight, chargebacks/digital accrual

    PO LIST

    AR REVIEW

    • Shipping/Receiving/Invoiced/Payment Receiving + Projected Ship

    PAYROLL

    • Manage setting up new employees + benefits + 401k contributions in ADP
    • Manage setting up payroll in new states, as applicable
