    Description
    The Plant Electrical Engineer will serve as the plant's primary engineering support. The Plant Electrical engineer will work with corporate engineers, managers, plant operators, vendors, and others to support and improve plant operations. The Plant Electrical Engineer will report to the Plant Manager.
    • Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
    • Manage the plant processes to optimize production of Mixed Hydroxide Product (MHP) in safety, quality, and quantity.
    • Troubleshoot, improve and maintain process controls to optimize output.
    • Maintain PLC's, instruments, and all electrical equipment.
    • Support and troubleshoot quality control instrumentation and testing.
    • Keep work areas clean and organized.
    • Perform and assist with various plant maintenance tasks such as planning outages, upgrades, CMMS system maintenance, and improvements.
    • Use plant control system to monitor process trends and look for ways to improve the system.
    • Work with local and remote team members to improve the process.
    • Train and educate new and current employees on new and existing electrical and controls processes and procedures.
    • Create and implement plant improvement ideas in concert with management.
    • Lead by example in safety, Nth Cycle culture, respect, team building, etc.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Chemical plant manufacturing experience (5 years, minimum), preferably more. Work with other company personnel, suppliers, truckers, and customers in a professional manner.
    • Extensive PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
    • Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
    • Ability to apply common sense and safety to vague instructions.
    • Ability to lead and delegate in a professional manner.
    • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
    • Apply knowledge of electrical and process control functions of various components and equipment including electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, compressed air, batch plant equipment, water systems and computerized batching equipment.
    • Keep accurate and legible paperwork and computer files.
    • Experience controlling chemical processes, both manually and with computer controls.
