Job summary
The radiation therapist is part of a multidisciplinary cancer team.Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist the therapist delivers the radiation plans by the use of a linear accelerator.
Radiation therapist also participates in daily quality assurance checks, patient chart reviews, and patient assessment.Responsibilities
- Interprets and implements prescription, and treatment plan as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Determines the impact of therapeutic interventions on the patient's condition and recognizes the patient's progress towards meeting the desired outcomes.
- Educate patients on procedures, skin care, side effects and nutrition.
