- Receives instructions from physician regarding any X-Rays in which a patient may require.
- Executes physician-directed instructions and obtains clear imaging results.
- Performs proper use of X-Ray equipment.
- Follows all compliance and safety protocols for all patients and staff members.
- Responsible for coordinating receipt and delivery of X-Ray dosimeter through vendor (Laundauer) every three (3) months.
- Keeping patients calm and informed throughout the X-Ray procedure.
- Assists with preparation and distribution of OTC bags for patients on a monthly basis or as requested.
- Reports any technical or maintenance issues related to X-Ray equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job DescriptionLooking for an X-Ray Technician who can work as a 1099 employee serving patients at Pro Salud Clinic at Little Havana Activities & Nutrition Centers of Dade County, Inc. ("LHANC"). Candidates would be working twice weekly (days TBD) and responsible for providing basic clinical care to patients commensurate with their medical education. Duties include initial clinical evaluations as well as directed procedures for medical care; performing X-Ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and preparing patients for continued medical evaluations by physicians by taking a brief history, establishing vital signs, recording appropriate documentation on approved forms and recognizing levels of acuity allowing appropriate medical intervention when necessary. The X-Ray Technician will be able to receive instructions from the doctor regarding the X-Rays patients require, as well as getting clear imaging results, which requires proper use of equipment and keeping patients calm and informed throughout the X-ray procedure.

At LHANC, we believe in serving with passion and doing the right thing. Our mission is to provide a wide-range of social services to socially isolated and economically disadvantaged seniors in the South Florida area. We identify the need and procure the funding necessary to provide low-income, frail, isolated elderly persons with quality social, nutrition, and health services allowing them to continue to live at home, albeit with some assistance and to avoid early, costlier institutionalization. Our services are all provided to aid the rapidly increasing elderly population with essential services in a loving and sensitive manner. We are a tax-exempt, charitable non-profit corporation that is funded through government grants and private donations.
