    Description

    Job Title: Valve Technician

    Description:

    Riley Power group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company based in Pinehurst, NC. We work nationwide on industrial projects. Skilled Valve Technicians are sought for multiple locations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Repack valves according to station procedures and perform minor repairs independently. Major repairs and in-place machining (and lapping) are performed under direct supervision.
    • Complete calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.
    • Follow schematics and documented procedures in accordance with applicable standards.
    • Perform maintenance, assessment, and repairs on various types of valves.
    • Work in environments with frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
    • Lift up to 75lbs 15-20 times during an 8-to-12-hour shift.
    • Stand and walk for extended periods during an 8 to 12-hour shift.
    • Bend from waist, crouch, kneel, or crawl periodically during an 8-to-12-hour shift.
    • Climb ladders up to 25 feet at a time.
    • Work in confined spaces with potential extreme temperature exposure, chemical exposure, and radiation exposure.

    Requirements:

    • Industrial mechanical experience, military mechanical experience, and successful completion of valve training and valve TPE certification.
    • Familiarity with tools and machinery required for daily valve repair duties.
    • Experience repairing various valves and actuators, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
    • Solve practical problems and deal with variable situations.
    • Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Pass pre-employment screening requirements, including medical, psychological, background, and substance abuse screenings.

    Authorization Requirements:

    • Proof of Identification - Driver's license or government-issued ID card.
    • Proof of US Citizenship - U.S. birth certificate, valid passport, Certificate of Citizenship, or Certificate of Naturalization.
