    Our client is a dedicated engineering consulting firm specializing exclusively in projects relating to existing construction; offering services across forensic analysis and deposition/trial testimony for clients in the legal and insurance sectors, structural repair & restoration, building enclosures, and milestone/threshold inspections.

    They are seeking a senior-level structural engineer for their forensics team who has a proven background in litigated assignments and has acted as an expert witness in court proceedings. There is a clear path to progress towards a Director-Level position from joining at this level and a great opportunity to play an influential role in scaling their forensics practice.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Perform forensic investigations and root cause analyses for a variety of loss types, primarily for high-rise commercial, industrial and multi-family buildings.
    • Analyze construction/design drawings.
    • Perform field assessments for damaged structural/enclosure components.
    • Generate detailed reports.
    • Provide deposition and expert witness testimony.
    • Mentor/train their team of junior engineers.
    • Manage existing relationships with clients in the legal and insurance sectors, and leverage industry network to generate new projects.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering field (Civil/Structural/Architectural).
    • PE (Professional Engineer) license is required.
    • 5+ years of experience in forensic engineering.
    • Experience providing trial/expert witness testimony is highly desirable
    • Transferrable book of business/client network seen as desirable
