    General Dynamics Information Technology is actively seeking a Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Mine Counter-Measures (MCM) Warfare Trainer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) having recently served on LCS or with operational fleet experience and qualifications in Mine Counter-Measure (MCM) Operations, Combat System Training Team (CSTT technical and tactical), and Mine Warfare Evaluator (MIWE).This position supports both LCS Training Facility Pacific (LTFPAC) and Mine Warfare Training Center (MWTC).

    Develops; organizes; and conducts Mine Warfare (MIW) training and educational programs for personnel assigned to Littoral Combat Ships.

    Training includes tactical employment of the MIW and MCM systems; capabilities and limitations; employment of automated systems; mission planning and execution; and tactical communications.

    Must be capable of conducting conventional knowledge-based classroom teaching and performance/scenario-based laboratory training in normal, abnormal, and emergency operating environments.

    When required, the candidate would provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for LCS courses.

    HOW A TRAINING SPECIALIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACTMust be prepared to support the Train-to-Qualify (T2Q) and Type Commander Training and Certification (TTC) process utilizing shore-based trainer requiring dynamic assessment of watch standers during integrated scenarios.

    Prepares; reviews; and customizes curriculum lesson plans and instructor guide in support of traditional classroom teaching.
    Supports Formal Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates; conducts training gap analysis and provides formal feedback/recommendations for Course improvement.

    Develops; tests; maintains; and delivers moderately complex Navy Mine Warfare training programs and related materials in support of SCSTC training objectives.

    Establishes and reviews course content and objectives.
    Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
    Maintains records of training activities; participant progress; and program effectiveness.
    Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

    Primary LTFPAC instruction includes LCS-2 Crew Certification Training, MCM Capstone Training (including MIW Evaluator and remote vehicle operations), and LCS MCM Skills.

    Primary MWTC instruction includes MCM USV Operator, MCM USV Fundamentals, and MIW Evaluator/Mission Planner.
    Candidate will be required to support multi-site training events and second shift work schedule on a rotational basis.
    Active Secret Security Clearance.


    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

    Education:
    Associates/Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience

    Qualifications:

    Seven (7) years of experience with Mine Warfare (MIW)/Mine Counter-Measures (MCM) as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment.

    Of the seven years, one (1) year of experience as an Instructor/Trainer in a Navy Training Environment, to include presentation skills, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.

    Experience as an Instructor/Trainer and/or a Master/Afloat Training Specialist in support of SCSTC/TACTRAGRU/ATG is a significant plus. Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing. Travel may be required up to 10% of time.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
