    Summary:


    AssistsDirector of Nursing in providing nursing care to meet all levels ofresident/patient care needs through planning, implementing, and evaluatingservices in accordance with the mission of Ohio Masonic Communities and applicablelaws, regulations and standards.

    Participates in all admissiondecisions, and may visit prospective residents before admission.
    Initiates interviews for selection ofprofessional nursing staff, discusses appropriate candidates with Director ofNursing.

    Reviews 24 hour report from every unitdaily to monitor and ensure timely, effective response to significant changesin condition, transfer, discharge, use of restraints, unexplained weight loss,injuries, falls, behavior episodes and medication errors.

    Prepares or reviews Infection ControlSurveillance reports to identify trends and to develop actions tocontrol/prevent infections. Submits an Infection Control Report to CQIcommittee.
    Manages, supervises and evaluatesthrough the performance improvement process, staff assigned to the AssistantDirector of Nursing.
    Develops, coaches and supportsprofessional/non-professional staff assigned to the Assistant Director ofNursing in performance of daily operational responsibilities.
    Participates in on-call rotation ofnursing management for facility coverage.


    Requirements:
    Must be a current, unrestricted, Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
    Bachelor's degree in nursing (B. S. N.) from four-yearcollege or university; or associate degree in nursing or three-year diplomaprogram and additional coursework or experience in nursing management.
    Experience in aRestorative Program, Wound Care Certification and/or experience is preferred
