Job summary
The Public Health Technician performs complex multidisciplinary public health safety and sanitation studies, inspections, and investigations to enforce federal laws and regulations and protect the health and safety of the population at risk.+
Duties include conducting routine inspections, enforcing health and safety laws and regulations, preparing and maintaining records of inspections, gathering evidence recommending corrective actions.
Additional responsibilities include presenting community outreach programs educating populations regarding program services responding public health complaints working with stakeholders recommending corrective action assisting vaccination outreach campaign respond communicable disease foodborne illness outbreaks applying epidemiological methods providing consultation recommendations.
