    LOCATION: Central Office

    REPORTS TO: Superintendent

    QUALIFICATIONS: Expertise with computer systems and applications; knowledge of

    Marketing strategies, Strategic Planning Process; knowledge of and expertise in utilizing quality tools and methodology. Bachelor's degree in Education, Marketing, English, Public Relations, or related fields that provide the knowledge and skills to perform the job successfully. Master's degree and significant experience in K-12 education preferred.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate all aspects of marketing, to include:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to help the system reach strategic goals.
    • Use marketing strategies to build relationships and strengthen the brand of Montgomery County Schools.
    • Develop and assess measurable goals that enhance the district's ability to meet market and strategic goals.
    • Maintain a positive and effective social media presence for the school system.
    • Supervise all major communications systems and modalities to enhance organizational effectiveness.
    • Serves as the communication advisor and lead to the Executive Staff and Board of Education.
    • Serves as the district point person with various news media as necessary to communicate district priorities.
    • Handles requests for public information for the district in a timely manner.
    • Handles multiple large projects simultaneously, projects that enhance the visibility of the school district in the community.
    • Oversee and drive the work of various special committees.
    • Advises schools in the development of school-level marketing plans.
    • Serves as a goal team lead in developing the school system's Strategic Plan.
    • Multiple other duties as assigned
