    Our Women's PACU is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time PACU fellowship position. This Fellowship will start August 19th 2024 and is designed to transition experienced nurses to the PACU specialty. There are mandatory seminars in this program September-December.

    Our unit is a 32-bay Preoperative and PACU department caring for patients before and after their General Gynecology, Gynecological Oncology, Urological Gynecology, and Robotic procedures. We care for 30 patients a day on average, 75% of which go home same day from the PACU. Our acuity ranges from benign procedures to extensive oncology cases.

    Schedule: 12 hours shifts with 1-2 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule and on call requirement.

    Job Requirements:
    • One year of acute care nursing experience is required; prior experience in the womens services area desired.
    • Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
    • American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.
    • RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN.
    • Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills.
      Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others.
      Proficient computer skills required.
