    TITLE: Quality Engineer

    LOCATION: Huntsville, AL (Fully On-Site)

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Long-Term Contract (With possibility for extension/conversion)

    Shift: Swing, Weekend Day, OR Weekend Swing.

    PAY RANGE: $45-55/hr

    ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform daily quality assurance involving various stages of rocket engine production, including machining, assembly, fabrication, and final assembly.
    • Address non-conformances by conducting thorough reviews and releasing work orders accordingly.
    • Manage work order closures and appropriately dispose of non-conformances.
    • Conduct first article inspections as required.
    • Occasionally perform minor inspections requiring quality assurance oversight.
    • Flexibly apply skills and knowledge across multiple departments or facilities as needed.

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
    • 5 + years experience in quality assurance within a production environment, preferably in aerospace, space launch, or military/commercial aviation.
    • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems, or similar quality systems and programs.
    • Preferred experience with Material Review Board processes.
    • Knowledge of welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) practices.
    • Proficiency in Precision Measurement Science principles.
    • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
    • Fundamental understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
