Description
The Assistant Ready-Mix Plant Manager is responsible for assisting the Plant Manager with the overall supervision of one or more ready-mix plants or departments.
Will assist the Plant Manager with production oversight, operational improvements, and employee leadership with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.

Other benefits include life insurance, disability coverage, an employee assistance program, and a retirement program. Assist with overseeing ready-mix plant operation activitiesCompliance and enforcement of governmental rules and regulations, company policies and procedures
Coordinate, consult, & maintain the continuity of plant operations along with the Plant Manager, Quality Control, and Maintenance
Assistance with providing safety training and development of all personnel, including training, certifications, staffing, and performance evaluations
Facilitate the enforcement of all safety and environmental programs and policies
Environmental, OSHA, MSHA, Department of Transportation (DOT), and other regulatory compliance
Assist with Capital Equipment budgeting, as necessary
Support the overseeing of plant and equipment maintenance
Collaborate and assist Plant Manager in areas of goal setting, sales, customer service, and staff development
Aid with directing, coaching, and developing employees ensuring compliance with company policies
Assistance in tracking and the creation of productivity reports; Lead projects, as necessary/required by the Plant Manager
Field work experience and/or college education at any level
Relevant operations certifications, i.e., industry-specific training a plus
Minimum 5-7 years ofexperience running a ready-mix operation, including ancillary functions such as yard production and product delivery
Experience managing groups of employees in one or more locations
Experience implementing training programs for drivers including driving technique, truck maintenance, product delivery, ticketing, payments, and customer service
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
Customer service orientation
Experience in a vertically integrated construction materials organization preferred
Experience with SAP
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
