    Chemical Process Engineer - Greeneville, TN

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Greeneville, TN. As a key member of the Coinage Department, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering and technical support of our manufacturing operations. This challenging and rewarding position requires a strategic thinker who can oversee operations, troubleshoot process problems, and lead cost improvement initiatives. If you have a strong background in chemical engineering, experience in electroplating, and a passion for continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.

    What you will need:

    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in electroplating.
    • Certification as a Certified Electroplater Finisher (CEF) is highly desirable.
    • Proficient in cost accounting concepts.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead by example, collaborate within a team, and positively influence others.
    • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is preferred.

    What you will do:

    • Oversee and optimize all processes within the department, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency goals are met.
    • Lead and direct cost improvement initiatives to enhance departmental objectives, with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing process capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance product positioning and margin improvement.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, including control plans, work instructions, and inspection forms, while contributing to operator training materials.
    • Work closely with EH&S Department to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant operation.
    • Coordinate Maintenance Department activities in assigned areas and collaborate with key leaders to address root causes and implement corrective measures.
    • Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure products meet or exceed specifications, and address customer quality complaints effectively.
    • Partner with the Development Department to roll out and scale up new processes.
