About Burn ICU

Burn ICU is a 12 bed unit that provides comprehensive and compassionate care for adults and children with all types of burns (thermal, electrical and chemical), as well as frost bite and other conditions or injuries that result in large wounds or skin loss.

Our team cares for patients throughout the continuum - from admission to discharge - which allows you to build strong patient relationships, and challenge you to apply your knowledge and skills within fluctuating acuity levels (ICU plus Stepdown).

Louis accredited through the American Burn Association - the gold standard for designating the highest-quality burn centers in North America.

We provide the area's only full-service, multi-disciplinary center offering acute and reconstructive treatment to adults and children.
Shifts (Three 12s): Full-Time, Days (7:00am-7:30pm) / Nights (7:00pm-7:30am)
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure :

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
Other unit specific certifications as required
