- Electrical substations - new construction and upgrades/retrofits.
- Preparation and review of various documents and drawings.
- Bid, construction, and as-built documents.
- Job cost estimates.
- Development of proposals, including scope of work and estimates.
- Field visits, including pre-engineering, pre-construction, and post-construction inspections.
- Working knowledge of codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE).
- Proficiency with applications and tools for project completion.
- Lead QA/QC process and sign off on engineering documents.
- Manage a team of engineers, technicians, and designers.
- Build and manage relationships with clients.
- 8+ years of experience in substation protection & controls design.
- 3+ years of engineering experience with Southern Company Services.
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer (preferable).
- Competitive compensation - $95,000 to $130,000 (DOE)
