- Issue renewals and duplicate license/ID cards via mail to residents temporarily residing outside of North Carolina
- Review and evaluate driver license convictions and suspensions to determine eligibility
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and service account, process returned mail, and update customer records according to returned mail guidelines
- Train to key and scan information related to a customer's driving record
- Process mail and emails for CDL medical certification certificates, self-cert forms, and federal variances
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience
- Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM
- Experience with customer service by phone and/or in person with diverse clientele
- Experience analyzing, interpreting, and/or evaluating information or data
- Experience researching and resolving problems to make independent decisions as needed
- Experience interpreting and explaining policy and procedures, rules, regulations, and/or laws using excellent communication skills
- Experience maintaining records, reports, and data using MS Office products and/or Mainframe databases
- Starting salary of $36,682
- Eligibility for salary adjustments with satisfactory work evaluations
- Opportunity to transfer into an Administrative Specialist I position at $50,438 upon completion of the program
