    Job Summary

    The Department of Psychological Science in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences seeks applicants for a non-tenure track, full-time Lecturer faculty position. Appointment begins August 1, 2024.The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching psychology courses in the candidate's area of expertise and service to the department, college, and university.Remote candidates will be considered for this position, but the preference will be for those who can have an on-campus presence.

    The Department of Psychological Science is housed in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The department offers a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Sciences degree in psychology. The department also has an online Bachelor of Psychology program and offers a minor in psychology.The department serves 600 majors and 150 minors. For more information on the department visit

    Responsibilities

    Hybrid Opportunity: On-Campus Preference with Remote Flexibility

    The position will be responsible for teaching courses in the Online College for Career Advancement (OCCA) Psychology program.The teaching load will be 5 classes (15 credit hours) per semester (Fall and Spring) and providing service to the department, college, and University. Position will be responsible for advising majors in the program as part of service.

    Typical Allocation of Duties

    Teaching and Service - 100%
    Teaches classes and meets assigned service obligations.

    Required Qualifications
      M.A. degree in PsychologyDemonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learningExperience designing and/or teaching online psychology courses

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Ph.D. in Psychology
    • A record of mentoring students
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting

    Proposed Salary

    Commensurate with experience.
