The Housekeeping Technician reflects the mission, vision and values of Northwestern Medicine and adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program.Cleans patient rooms offices public areas treatment rooms and other assigned daily including collecting removing trash changing bed linens sanitizing all surfaces follows policies procedures on patient isolation contact precautions as necessary stocks paper items supplies in assigned areas maintains cart equipment clean working condition stores appropriate storage area promotes safety workplace uses wet floor signs PPE not leaving housekeeping cart supplies unattended uses chemicals equipment effective safe manner notifies supervisor equipment needing repairs reports safety hazards manager communicates supervisor any issues proactive dealing observed deficiencies establishes maintains interpersonal relationship hospital personnel assures confidentiality patient information exhibits ability articulate designed scripting model each customer served uses organizational unit department resources efficiently manages work schedule efficiently completing tasks assignments timely contributes opportunities processes continuous improvement participates efforts reduce costs streamline work processes improve grow services provided presents friendly approachable professional demeanor appearance provides accurate information timely updates patients customers addresses questions concerns promptly identifies appropriate person resources do so provides directions help patients customers finding way uses effective service recovery skills solve problems service breakdowns when occur demonstrates teamwork helping co-workers departments communicates effectively others respects diverse opinions styles acknowledges assistance contributions others.
