Seeking experienced Senior Accountant Consultants for clients here in the North Oakland County, MI area to be engaged on an interim basis
As a Senior Accountant consultant, specific role(s) with clients and position responsibilities will vary from engagement to engagement

Responsibilities May Include:

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Reconciling account balances and bank statements
• Maintaining the general ledger including journal entries, accruals and completing month-end close
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation
• Support preparation of financial statements
• Assisting in budget preparation
• May support documentation of processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

• Minimum 5+ progressive years accounting and/or finance experience
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
