    Hours:
    Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-2:00pm


    Job Summary:


    To plan, implement and maintain systematic activities that allow the quality system ensure that quality, safety, productivity, and efficiency requirements are met.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for ensuring that our quality management system achieves consistency, continuous improvement of products, and meets customer satisfaction standards.
    • Trains current and new employees regarding documentation and work instruction needed to meet our ISO system and standards.
    • Analyze quality data to determine statistical trends and develop necessary control actions as part of comprehensive Continuous Improvement process.
    • Develops, implements, and manages a system for feedback from our external customers that ISO standards are being met.
    • Develop Work Instructions and/or Document Processes to ensure standardization of work across the department.
    • Work directly with Customers, Suppliers, Production, Engineering and Quality to identify opportunities for variation reduction, implement process improvements and resolve issues.
    • Identify raw, in-process and final inspection needs based on customer requirements and ensure proper training with documentation of inspection and production personnel to ensure methods and tools are properly used.
    • Responsible for scheduling, directing, conducting internal audits and preparing audit reports for top management, addresses non-conforming items from previous quality audits.
    • Provide quality reporting data and analysis for review by upper management. (Management Review)
    • Responsible for Tool Calibration database to ensure all tools are compliant to company ISO standards.
    • Provides process improvement know-how, methods, and conceptual expertise to various departments.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, networking, benchmarking and participating in professional societies.
    • Creates a climate in which plant personnel are motivated to develop their skills and abilities commensurate with customer and company goals.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or as dictated by position responsibilities.

    Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

    Education and Experience:

    • BS degree in Quality Management or
    Industrial/Manufacturing

    Engineering is preferred.

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience within a progressive quality department
    • Strong understanding of ISO 14001:2004 requirements.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma tools and techniques including 5S, SPC, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, PFMEA, Control Plans, 8-Ds are preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of inspection equipment, CMM, GD&T, PPAP, 1st Article and sheet metal fabrication.

    Skills :
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to facilitate group problem solving and implementation activities.

    • Excellent verbal, presentation, technical writing and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office [Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Visio].
    • Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office. Use of statistical software a plus.
    • Project management skills are essential.
