    Description


    The Director of Tax Strategies & Compliance will be responsible for all tax matters, leading efforts to identify, plan, develop and execute strategic tax initiatives and overseeing day-to-day business operations to benefit the Company's financial results.

    The Director of Tax will also be responsible for creating strong processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all tax reporting and filings to ensure compliance with domestic and limited international tax requirements.

    Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will join forces with the Finance and Operations Teams to develop and guide tax processes, which are instrumental in the Company's overall financial management strategy and success.

    You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders as well as executive leaders and external stakeholders in a fast-paced, high growth environment.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Manage all tax matters of the Company, including strategy, planning and compliancePrepare all federal, state and international tax work papers and work with outside consultants to oversee the preparation and filing of these returnsPrepare and file state and local sales tax and Canadian VAT returnsRepresent the Company in all tax inquiries and audits by third partiesIdentify, analyze, and communicate complex tax issues and their impact on the Company and its operations to key stakeholdersLead and develop a robust tax team to support business operations and strategic initiativesWork with various functional teams to identify and assess tax opportunities and proactively address tax exposures through the design of processes and proceduresStay current on new tax laws, rulings, and cases affecting individual and entities

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) credential7+ years of recent experienceStrong tax experience with recent exposure to high income and complex federal and multiple state partnership, S-Corp and C-Corp tax returnsExperience with multi-state sales and use tax complianceCritical thinking, problem solving, research skills and determinationAbility to prioritize various projects and effectively communicate with othersStrong computer skills with working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OutlookStrong process improvement mindset

    Preferred Qualifications:
