    Description

    CAMS Non-Invasive Diagnostic Testing

    Per Diem | Varied | Schedule includes weekdays 2:30pm-8pm and Saturdays 8a-4pm

    Position Summary

    Perform Color Flow Echocardiograms.

    Perform Stress Echocardiograms and support Cardiologist in Transesophageal Echocardiograms.

    Carry out other Non-Invasive procedures like EKG, EEGs.

    Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include:

    • Understand and adhere to WPH Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors.
    • Perform color flow Doppler Echos following established protocols.
    • Conduct Stress Echos according to protocols.
    • Assist Cardiologist in TEE procedure.
    • Submit echocardiogram with the highest quality possible and within the appropriate time frame.
    • Identify and conduct Echos without delegation.
    • Identify and conduct other Non-Invasive testing without delegation (e.g., EKG, Holter).
    • Proficient in using medical equipment like EKG and EEG machines.
    • Proficient in using office equipment including copy machine, fax, and computer.
    • Recognize and report equipment malfunctions.
    • Maintain safety standards and follow infection control guidelines.
    • Perform routine office tasks and participate in the performance improvement program.
    • Demonstrate ability to work and communicate effectively within the practice team.
    • Recognize abnormal echo findings and communicate life-threatening situations promptly.
    • Interact with individuals from neonates to the geriatric population.
    • Provide coverage rotation to other outpatient sites.
    • Adapt duties and hours based on offsite practice requirements.
    • Possibly work holidays, overtime, and various shifts to ensure adequate outpatient facility coverage.
    • Perform all other assigned duties.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program.
    • Preferably a Registered cardiac ultrasound technologist or ARDMS or CCI certified.
    • Two years of experience conducting echocardiograms.
    • Experience in other non-invasive procedures.
    • Complete orientation program as per department guidelines.
