    Description

    Safely operate and/or have the ability to operate various equipment including an excavator, front loader, bulldozer, or other heavy equipment to bale, load, and move waste material.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate necessary equipment to bale and load waste or other material into trailers.
    • Perform daily inspection and maintenance checks of equipment.
    • Grease/lubricate equipment, check, and add fluids daily.
    • Steer, guide, and drive equipment at the assigned site using steering wheel, shifters, levers, buttons, and pedals.
    • Substitute for another operator if needed.
    • Clean trash from tracks of heavy equipment daily.
    • Communicate with co-workers using a two-way radio regarding work activities and priorities.

    Requirements:

    • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Maintain grounds and facility appearance.
    • Attend safety and branch meetings.
    • Perform assigned job-related duties.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Forklift certification completion.
    • Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Follow instructions and work under little supervision.
    • Deal with problems in a standardized setting.
    • Perform basic math functions and read equipment gauges.
    • Proficient in English language.
    • Lift weights as necessary.

    Physical/Mental Demands:

    • Various physical activities and visual demands.

    Requirements:
    including vision abilities and lifting capacities.

    Working Conditions:

    • Exposure to various environmental conditions.
    • Work in moderate to loud environments.
    • Outdoor work in heavy equipment cab, exposed to all weather conditions, except lightning storms.
    • Occasionally work in high places.
    • Outdoor work 100% of the time.
