    Work Arrangement


    This hybrid role requires in‑office presence at Method's New York City office for a minimum of two days per week. Candidates should be based within commuting distance of one of the office or able to relocate.

    The Opportunity


    The Marketing Account Director at Method Communications is a critical senior role that is responsible for leading client relations, partnering with project management on client deliverables and coordinating with agency teams to support the team's overall success. You are able to maintain a clear view of all of the activities occurring across each account and act as quarterback for the team. You get the right people to the table and make sure everyone knows their role and deadlines.

    You will work with the team to develop and execute both large and small marketing campaigns and projects. You have a deep understanding of brand and content marketing, digital marketing, and earned, owned, paid and social media best practices and current trends. You have experience managing integrated programs as an Account Manager / Director.

    You have the talent for building strong client relationships and generating trust. You act as a marketing advisor, providing clients with solutions to their communication and marketing challenges. You ask thoughtful questions and provide well‑researched insights to inform marketing strategy. As the main client liaison your job is to partner with clients and translate those needs into strategic recommendations / deliverables or briefs for Method.

    You are skilled at managing budgets, helping others work within client scopes and maintaining a level of detail on accounts that gives the client confidence. You are able to look around corners for both opportunities and challenges. You have strong communication and presentation skills that allow you to effectively support clients and internal team members. You are skillful at capturing client feedback and helping the team navigate changes thoughtfully. You are comfortable pushing back when client demands are unreasonable to protect the team and ensure we are all set up for success. You are excellent at time management and lead your own projects independently, end to end, to help your team successfully deliver theirs.

    The Marketing Account Director will report to the SVP of Marketing and work as a partner to Account Leads (EVP, SVP, VP and Directors). You will work collaboratively across all marketing functions and collaborate closely with social media and influence, research, and AEO teams.

    Responsibilities


    Account Management, Direction and Execution

    Manage and maintain client relationships building trust and helping clients have confidence in the agency team and our collective ability to achieve their goals.

    Direct all projects and initiatives, while allowing team members to own and execute projects.

    Maintain strong client communication through email, Slack, weekly team meetings, and one‑to‑ones with client(s). This includes establishing weekly agendas, sharing work‑back schedules, meeting notes and managing action items, all designed to provide concierge service through clear communication.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.

    Positive attitude, critical thinker and problem solver

    Work with executive leads to develop realistic goals for internal team members and for clients.

    Encompass a strong executive presence when providing ideas, counsel and feedback to clients and internal teams.

    Work in partnership with account project managers to ensure content is delivered on time supporting workstreams to delivery top‑quality deliverables.

    Assign and delegate roles and responsibilities across internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.

    Write well‑researched project briefs to steer strategic thinking on new deliverables.

    Develop and implement strategic plans to manage and grow accounts.

    Retain clients and build strong trusting relationships.

    Provide superior customer service and ensure client satisfaction.

    Leadership : Act as a strategist and advisor to your clients, advising them on what tactics, messages and priorities they should prioritize based on their business goals.

    Act as a mentor to junior staff.

    Evangelize marketing within the agency

    Deliver constructive feedback to ensure level requirements are met and the correct action is taken, where necessary.

    Participate in office activities (virtual and / or in‑person dependent on location).

    Have a strong, positive presence within the agency.

    What We're Looking For


    8+ years Account Management experience with a minimum of 4 years in an agency environment.

    Demonstrated experience building, conceptualizing and executing integrated communications programs that align with client / company business goals.

    Exemplary editing and writing capabilities.

    B2B experience is required; tech and / or enterprise experience is preferred.

    Collaborative, team‑oriented individual with a big‑picture mindset.

    Commitment to developing skills and helping team members do the same.

    Salary Ranges

    Salary Range : $130,000 - $160,000
