Description
Department Summary
The PREP Bio program is a one-year mentored research and professional development experience for postbaccalaureate students who are intending to pursue a doctoral degree in the life sciences. This is funded by a 5 year NIH R25 grant awarded to PIs Nadia Singh and Rori Rohlfs in the Institute of Ecology and Evolution. The overarching goal of this R25 program is to support educational activities that encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences, to pursue further studies or careers in research.
The Institute of Ecology and Evolution promotes and facilitates research and graduate education in ecology and evolutionary biology.
The Institute fosters a collegial and stimulating intellectual environment; supports the development of shared research facilities; and sponsors seminars, workshops, and colloquiums.
