    Purpose Statement/Position Summary:


    The CRM Support Services team is responsible for the overall technical and developer support of CHLA's fundraising application, Blackbaud CRM.

    While ensuring the functionality and tools within CRM are available, the CRM Support Services team provides direct customer service to the Foundation department by leveraging the application's functionality and providing strategic business intelligence to best support the hospital's fundraising goals.


    The Business Intelligence Developer is an expert in supporting enterprise Business Intelligence solutions and is responsible for running, designing and developing business intelligence solutions, including reports, dashboards, and other data artifacts, to meet the needs of internal line-of-business customers.

    The Developer will develop and code reports and other data artifacts in the appropriate business intelligence tools, and provide update status of work being done, assure compliance with CHLA's software development policies, and will communicate activities to project resources, team leads and management.

    Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation, querying, creating and modifying database objects are a must.

    Develop reports and customizations using ad-hoc queries, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Report Builder, Visual Studio and the Blackbaud CRM SDK.

    Gather and clarify requirements, develop, test, and validate deliverables such as reports, data lists, applications, and system upgrades, ensuring timely and accurate results.

    Create user-friendly, data intensive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI/Tableau.

    Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:


    2-5 years providing production level support and/or development in business intelligence/enterprise data warehouse environment, demonstrated design and development experience in software programming.

    2-5 years of successful business intelligence application support and troubleshooting experience within the healthcare delivery environment or fundraising/philanthropy operations.(Client/Server, Web Server, various/multiple Database environments, etc.) 2 years of Oracle or SQL Server administration, development, and/or application experience.

    Experience in creating and modifying analytical applications using Business Intelligence tools and best practice visualization techniques.

    2 years of experience working with (developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, etc.) various databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) 2 years of experience in a Healthcare Information Services support and/or philanthropy/fundraising development environment.

    2-5 years of experience developing detailed design specifications, policies/procedures. Fluency in SQL, specifically MS SQL Server and associated BI Tools such SSIS, SSRS and Power BI. An understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, data modeling concepts and tools. Full life cycle experience in developing complex reports in Tableau/BI/SSRS. Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate and solve complex problems. Understanding of industry (healthcare fundraising and philanthropy) and business processes highly preferred.

    Education/Licensure/Certification:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field.

    Pay Scale Information

    $84,656.00-$152,506.00

    Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

    The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.

    Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
