Project Engineer, Wind and Solar - Salt-Lake CityDescription
BBA has an established Wind andSolar business line and wants to strengthen its position in the Wind and Solar market,building on its momentum across Canada and having recently commenced businessoperations in the United States.
This position's focus will be toenable the growth BBA's Wind and Solar energy business line, supporting thedirector and manager, and lead BBA's wind, solar and grid-connected energystorage projects and strengthen client relationships.
The business line relies on BBA's operationalteams and disciplines located across Canada for execution of its mandates andprojects, while at times directly managing and executing certain strategicprojects.
OperationsOversee delivery andday to day execution of wind, solar and energy storage projects
Act as Project Leaderand/or Project Manager for select strategic projects and clients.
Provide expertise andguidance to both BBA's clients and project teams.
Conduct technicalreviews and oversee engineering and design activities.
Fill the role ofProject/Study Manager and/or Project Coordinator for strategic clients.
Engage with BBA'soperational teams and disciplines across Canada.
Day to day executionof technical and strategic mandates based on areas of expertise and incoordination with BBA's internal disciplines located across Canada.
BusinessdevelopmentBuild and maintainstrong professional relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energyand electricity sector across Canada and the U.S.
Provide exposure topotential new clients and expand relationships with existing clients.
Support execution ofthe strategy and action plan.
Support positioningfor upcoming opportunities, generate proposals and implement a pursuit/capturestrategy.
Identify anycapability gaps and implement teaming requirements needed to win.
Work with the ClientAccount Managers (CAMs) to ensure a coordinated client management process.
Cross-sell theservices of other divisions within other business lines.
Support thedevelopment/sustainability of medium- and long-term backlog projection.
Proposals
Review bid opportunities and provide input intothe Wind & Solar proposal execution plan and deliverables
Support proposal preparation through creativethinking and alternative approaches.
Review proposals to ensure that RFPrequirements are met (technical and commercial) and that the price iscompetitive.

Requirements
Engineering degree from a recognized college universityand registered as a Professional Engineer in applicable region(s) of the UnitedStates, with electrical or civil structural disciplines being preferred; or asuitable combination of qualification(s) in a relevant discipline andapplicable experience
At least 5 years of relevant power sector / electricityindustry experience
2 or more years of wind and/or solar energy projectdevelopment, project execution and/or operations experience
Project Management proficiency including experienceleading projects and managing project teams to deliver on project objectiveswithin constraints
Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies suchas wind turbine generators and/or solar photovoltaic and experience in projectequipment selection
Broad knowledge of the renewable energy industry and/orthe electric power sector
Strong communications, interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
Extremely versatile and broad – thrives on a widevariety of tasks and challenges
Strong and demonstrated critical thinking skills
Able to travel to domestic or international destinations
