- Managing a team of 3 maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient operation and coordination.
- Reviewing daily maintenance logs and prioritizing tasks to minimize production slowdowns.
- Delegating tasks effectively and coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Implementing preventative maintenance measures and collaborating with the production Supervisors to optimize productivity.
- Conducting employee reviews and fostering the professional development of the maintenance team in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair.
- Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Documenting maintenance reports using SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office suites, providing status updates to upper management.
- Performing light welding and fabrication for metal parts and tools as needed.
- Directing the maintenance team in new machine installations, assembly, and setup procedures.
- Overseeing machine breakdowns and coordinating repair efforts.
- Negotiating favorable pricing for maintenance and repair-related purchases.
- Managing requisitions and maintaining inventory levels of spare parts.
- Monitoring and maintaining maintenance inventory to ensure the availability of necessary supplies.
- Interpreting PLC schematics and making programming modifications as required.
- Troubleshooting and assisting the maintenance team in diagnosing and repairing manufacturing equipment.
- Undertaking minor building, facility, and company vehicle repairs when necessary.
- Analyzing production schedules and estimating personnel hours needed to complete job assignments.
- Continuously evaluating methods for improvement to minimize downtime and enhance production efficiency.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous maintenance management experience or 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
- Management or Supervisor experience is a must.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Experience in light welding is required.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair.
- Preferred qualification of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school; alternatively, two years of related experience and/or training
- Strong electrical background and proficiency in reading and troubleshooting PLC issues are essential.
- Experience with SAP or similar software is preferred.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office platforms and Excel
- Ability to effectively work in both manufacturing floor environments and office settings, collaborating with upper leadership as needed.
- Capability to lift and assist in projects as required to support maintenance operations.
