- Develop and execute lesson plans that lead toward student achievement of competencies in the area of Automotive Collision.
- Develop and update, as needed, the curriculum for the Automotive Technology program.
- Prepare orders for the purchase of supplies, tools, equipment, and instructional materials necessary to support the learning activities of the Automotive Technology program.
- Maintain inventory and repair records, and ensure the safe and proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Maintain an Advisory Board and keep records of meeting notices, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
- Remain informed of new trends, methods, materials, tools, and equipment in Automotive Technology.
- Actively participate in all professional development activities as required by the School District of Kansas City, Missouri.
- Integrate Career & Technical Student Organization (C.T.S.O.) leadership activities into the Automotive Technology program.
- Perform willingly, other duties as assigned by the Coordinator/Director.
- Hold or be eligible for a Missouri Career Education Certification in the area of Trade and Industrial Education/Automotive.
- Provide documentation and verification of a minimum of three (3) years or (6,000) hours of direct occupational experience in Automotive Technology within the most recent ten years. A Baccalaureate Degree or Associates Degree from an accredited institution with a major in Automotive Technology may be considered as meeting one year or (2,000) hours of the employment requirement.

PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for providing instruction in the area of Automotive Collision
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, and lift objects of at least ten pounds.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Length of work year: 8 hours per day; 5 days/week; 187 work days
