    About This Role:
    The College of Education is seeking applicants for a Data Analyst.

    The position will provide data analysis and reporting to support initiatives of student success, resource management, accreditation, program review, and strategic planning.

    This position works closely with college personnel to support data needs and ensure the accuracy of data.

    The candidate will:

    50%:

    Extract and develop data; prepare data for distribution; report and present summative data and interpretation. Collect, manage, and report teacher education data specifically for Educator Preparation Provider (EPP) accreditations.

    Document teacher education processes, including but not limited to EPP- and program-level assessments, clinical experiences, recruitment, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

    Compile accreditation reports and supporting materials.

    Identify data needs and produce reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to be used in planning, analysis, and dissemination of information.

    Compile data needed for program evaluation and improvement and to support accreditation, using Excel, R, STATA, and other quantitative, evaluation software.

    Assist with the building and maintenance of dashboards in Power Bl to share and visualize aggregate data in a secure and efficient manner.

    Process confidential data and information according to academic and FERPA guidelines. Demonstrate and consistently exercise professionalism and judgement in handling, protecting, and reporting confidential and sensitive data. Perform regular quality checks on analysis datasets to ensure accuracy and freedom from errors. Document issues and solutions.

    Assist with all phases of creating narrative reports (including graphs, charts, and tables) and with presenting qualitative/quantitative data key findings using Power BI.


    Develop and maintain a calendar of regular data requests and reports to share with College of Education stakeholders, including data sharing in annual and semi-annual meetings (e.g., COE Data Day), and via the College of Education's accreditation website.


    Assess college data reporting processes and ensure college metrics are consistent with the Office of Data, Assessment and Institutional Research (DAIR).

    Assist with the development and delivery of professional-level reports to the college's leadership, faculty, and committees.

    Work with the Information Technology unit to troubleshoot reporting database environments and reports.

    Support the College of Education's faculty and staff on research and other work that involve large-scale data sets and data analysis needs.

    Extract data from surveys and other data collection modalities. Clean data and document dataset properties.

    Assist with mapping survey data to secondary data sources to link survey questions to course, program, and college-level evaluation outcomes and benchmarks.

    Build and administer data collections in different modalities, including electronic surveys. Develop standard questions, surveys, and associated libraries to support standardization across courses and cohorts. Interpret and analyze data using descriptive statistics such as frequencies, means, medians, and percentages.

    Acquire and compare data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases. Develop and perform data analysis in alignment of institutional key performance indicators.


    Ensures accurate data extraction, analysis, and summary reports for internal (i.e., faculty and staff) and external requests (i.e., clinical and research partners).

    Collect and analyze data and metrics, and develop effective means of communicating this data to campus constituencies.

    Assist and conduct quantitative studies/analyses of college program outcomes which support planning, policy formation, and decision making.

    Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and expand expertise in the domains of data science and evaluation.

    Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify metrics for monitoring, and determine and address data and reporting needs.


    Assist with creating and management of messaging to students, faculty, and others regarding processes and protocols of ADA office regarding data and related Issues.

    Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders to support accurate interpretation and use of report findings.

    Support teams/meetings that pertain to reporting, program evaluation, and accreditation statistics.

    What You'll Need to Succeed:

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or related field.

    One year of experience in higher education accreditation with the following:

    institutional research and accreditation; teacher education program accreditation; data elements and their utilization; analyzing data; and making summary tables using Stata and Microsoft Power BI.

    Demonstrated ability with Excel and Google spreadsheets, and R programming language.


    Other Requirements:
