Description
Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Ship Maintenance & CIVPERS Branch of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Responsibilities You will serve as the senior liaison for budget, accounting or financial management policy and procedures within the organization.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will coordinate the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for the organization. You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommend alternatives for corrective action.You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse affect on regular and recurring work.
You will assign work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities and difficulty. You will interview candidates and recommend hiring, promotions, etc. You will identify and arrange for employee developmental and training requirements.You will review for fulfillment of accounting, budgeting or financial program objectives and the effect of advice, influence or decisions on the overall program.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing financial data, reports and policy/procedure to resolve problems and develop new theories concerning budget, accounting and financial management programs to meet organizational goals/objectives.

Eligible DoD career or career conditional employees shall be granted statutory return rights to their former position for a period of 5 years if continuously employed in a foreign or non-foreign area provided by Executive Order 10895 and DoDI , v 1230. Employees that do not exercise their return rights within five years are no longer eligible for return rights and will be treated as a local hire. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.

To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
