Job Summary and Qualifications
Coordinates total nursing care for critically ill patients, averaging in age from 57-70 years.

Primary patient population served include those admitted for acute/unstable trauma, acute neurological incidents, acute respiratory failure, MI, acute GI bleed, electrolyte imbalance, and patients post drug overdose.

Participates in patient/family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

Participates in organizational and unit-based quality improvement activities. Is able to provide mentorship and guidance to new employees

What qualifications you will need:
High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program
CA RN License required
BCLS required
ACLS required
CCRN preferred
TNCC preferred
2 years of acute care nursing in a cardiovascular, trauma, or neurosurgical ICU required
Five years ICU nursing with emphasis on trauma, neurosurgical, or cardiovascular care preferred
