Description
A Break Time Area Manager is responsible for directing and supervising operations in an assigned group of stores to maximize sales and profitability.

Responsibilities
Support the Company Vision and Mission and implement the strategies necessary to achieve them
Ensure that all stores provide customer service that meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations
Maintain high standards of store image, ensuring that all stores are clean, well-stocked, and ready for business
Ensure that all assigned stores operate within established inventory levels, salary budgets (and other control lines), and gross profit margins to achieve maximum profitability
Build store sales and gross profits through implementation of corporate merchandising policies, procedures, and programs
Support and enforce all company policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations
Assure that personnel processes (hiring, training, employee evaluations, employee discipline and termination actions) are carried out in a legal, ethical, and timely manner, and in accordance to company policy
Supervise all store associates in a fair, consistent, and impartial way, and in accordance with all EEOC guidelines
Actively assist with all promotions according to the Marketing Department
Conduct merchandise price surveys, observe competitors, and recommend changes when appropriate
Monitor and assist in the professional development of subordinates for growth and promotion to maintain a high-quality staff
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; completes performance reviews; provides feedback and development opportunities to direct reports; takes disciplinary action when necessary
Ensure all employees abide by local, state, and federal guidelines for the sale of alcohol and tobacco
Ensure completion of required daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork
Establish individual and team goals for each department, as well as establish personal goals with senior leadership; ensure goals are attainable and trackable
Ensure employees follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked
Resolve conflict in a timely manner
Prepare and submit recommended budgets for departmental operations

Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least three years of management experience or related work experience
Successful completion of Break Time Area Supervisor training program within 6 months of accepting the position
Must exhibit a high level of responsibility, integrity, dependability, and stability
Capability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
Ability to perform mathematical calculations to make change, complete shift reports and account for numbers of products during vendor check in
Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
Ability to effectively prioritize and delegate to achieve maximum results
Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety concerns
Physical ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds
Physical ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
Physical ability to move and position products in cooler with temps as low as 30 degrees for up to 1 hour and in the freezer with temps as low as 0 degrees for up to 10 minutes
Availability to work any shift, weekends and holidays as needed
Travel is expected up to 15% with occasional overnights to training or meetings
Ability to consistently drive and work in outdoor weather conditions
Ability to exchange accurate information with Break Time customers in English
Ability to occasionally ascends/descends ladders to handle inventory or products
At least 18 years of age
Valid driver's license
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
Preferred Skills
Three years of experience as a multi-unit supervisor in the C-store industry
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Ability to work at a fast pace
Ability to perform detail work with accuracy
Excellent organizational skills
