    Description

    Job Summary:

    On a daily basis interacts professionally and courteously with hospital personnel, Physicians, Physician office staff, patients, and visitors to provide the best possible service.

    May be responsible for any or all of the following:

    Retrieval and scanning of all discharged medical records, reports, and loose sheets utilizing the Electronic Health Record (EHR); Analysis of medical records for missing documentation, deficiency completion, and medical record compliance; Abstracting information from the EHR for auditing purposes; Processing dictations from Transcription system for distribution to EHR and/or Physician offices; Completing Birth Certificates and Acknowledgement of Paternity Affidavits in accordance with State requirements; Providing support to Coding staff by assisting with Unbilled Report compliance needs, scanning Coding Queries, locating charts not received and/or locating missing documentation; Attending to the department phones, faxes, and personal emails and responding to requests timely and appropriately.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
