    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Possess a Bachelor of Science (B.S.), or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Health and Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field, or 4 years equivalent experience working as a Coach or physical fitness leader in a similar field and environment.

    Training and Experience: Must possess and maintain the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Must possess and maintain CPR/AED certification. Required certifications include Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) certification or USA Track and Field (USATF) Level 1 Coach certification.

    General Skills: Must possess excellent communication skills and be highly detail-oriented and organized.

    Computer Skills: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct physical training program, to include:
      • Initial Pre-course Physical Fitness Assessment
      • Exit Performance Evaluation
      • All-body exercises and calisthenics
      • Strength based training exercises, dependent upon available equipment
      • Agility and Plyo-metrics exercises and drills
      • Run and ruck program and events
      • Alternative Cardio training, as need to support student recovery
    • Implement the established and approved physical training curriculum that supports TACP FTU syllabus and personnel passing the Tier 2 Operator Fitness Test (OFT).
    • Demonstrate the points of performance for the exercises codified in the Government provided curriculum, and ensure exercises are being performed to standards.
    • Demonstrate and perform physical training modules with students.
    • Prepare students and cadre for success by working to maximize their potential in physical training modules. This shall include guidance and application of physical preparedness and training techniques for the physical abilities assessments and evaluations to include, running, rucking, and lower and upper body development.
    • Interface with the active-duty members assigned to gain relevant career field and military information applicable to the candidates.
    • Recommend solutions to establish and maintain database/spreadsheet records of students and their status in the course, specifically in regard to physical fitness performance.
    • Mentor students and cadre to increase awareness of physical principles for long term success.
    • Capture and communicate observations and training trends to the PM.
    • As appropriate for the given situation, provide authorized first aid response to injured or ill students during training evolutions.
    • Present training modules to student classes in various forums to include, classrooms, workout facilities and outdoor/field settings as required.
    • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
    • Conduct PAST test for cross trainees
    • Assist active duty members to administer OFT
    • Create and share educational content for unit HPO program
    • Assist with procurement of new equipment to include research and price quotes
    • Coordinating with medical staff to develop and execute training programs for 6th CTS members with physical limitations that are medically cleared for strength training and reconditioning
    • Provide and teach academics as necessary that pertain to health scientific based research through presentations and academic studies
