    Marcum LLP is actively looking for Assurance Seniors to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Hartford, CT office .

    The position requires high-energy, experienced audit professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

    Audit Seniors will become involved with all aspects of the audit practice, and will be working along with the audit staff in performing detailed verification procedures to perform examinations of clients financial statements.

    ResponsibilitiesFixed asset additions and retirementsIncome and expense analysisAnalytical review proceduresObserve physical inventoriesAssist in financial statement preparationPrepare and input computer trial balancesAssist in preparing work paper packagesInvolvement in audit planningQualificationsCandidates must have BS/BBA in Accounting and strong quantitative, analytical and technology capabilities.

    CPA certification or in the process of completion of the CPA exam3+ years independent audit experience in public accounting experience with a diverse industry backgroundStrong communication, research, analytical and writing skillsProven technical skills with Excel, Word and OutlookExperience with accounting software, ProSystem FX engagement preferredSolid organization skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task positionsMust have personal vehicle, with flexibility to travel within the CT/MA areas.

    This is not a remote position. Candidates must be able to work in the office and/or client locations a minimum of 3 days per week.
