    Nurse Assistant ACU Full Time Nights Summary:

    The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a staff member trained to provide personal care and supportive services to the units patient population. He/She functions under the direction and supervision of the RN or LPN.

    Assists nursing service personnel with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Assists with personal hygiene, takes vital signs, and changes bed linens. May serve and collect food trays, provide for between-meal nourishment, and clean, sterilize, store, and prepare other supplies. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

    THE NURSING ASSISTANT ACU FULL TIME NIGHTS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. Education:
    1. GED or High School Graduate required.
    2. Completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant program with a South Carolina Nursing Assistant certificate required.

    Experience:
    Six months of previous nursing assistant experience preferred.

    Other Qualifications:
    Current BLS certification.
