    Job Description and Duties:
    Under the general direction of the Associate Warden, the Captain is responsible for the security of all facilities. Assigning custodial staff within each facility, giving instructions, maintaining discipline, and making determinations on the procedures for the admission and the release of inmates; investigating and responding to inmate appeals; participating in classification and disciplinary committee meetings; participating in the employee hiring and dismissal process; having direct responsibility for the security of the institution and all internal units; plans and directs an accurate system of inmate count.
