    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of experience and the ability to perform modified video swallow studies for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment.

    Responsibilities
    Acute care hospital setting in an inpatient Speech Therapy unitPrimarily treats adults in inpatient acute care, with additional caseload including premature infants in the NICU for feeding needsCaseload of approximately 9–10 patients per dayMust be proficient in performing modified video swallow studiesCerner EMR is used in this position8-hour day shifts starting at 8am, one weekend per month required13-week contractTreats a mixed population of adult inpatient acute care patients and premature infants in the NICU with feeding needsBurgundy polo shirt and dark pants are the required dress codeCandidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year; candidates placed PRN through outside staffing firms will be consideredCandidates residing in AZ must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates, as determined by driver's license address

    Requirements
    Minimum 2 years of SLP experience requiredActive state SLP license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted (license required if applicable)

    Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be acceptedCOVID vaccination requiredCrisis Protocol certification requiredProficiency in performing modified video swallow studiesDriver's license required for consideration2 professional references required:
    one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
