- Server Deployment and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and OpenStack On-Prep cloud to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions to identify and resolve system issues proactively. Optimize server performance and resource utilization.
- Security: Implement and maintain STIG and IAVA compliance to safeguard Linux systems.
- Automation: Implement and maintain ansible automation to streamline routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
- User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in accordance with security policies. Ensure proper authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data. Test and validate backup procedures regularly.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve system and application issues promptly. Collaborate with other IT teams to address complex problems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Facilitate knowledge transfer and training.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, including network administrators and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of systems
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant field experience acceptable in lieu of formal degree.
- Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Linux server administration (preferably RedHat or CentOS).
- Knowledge of shell scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (OpenStack, KVM).
- Experience with storage technologies (Ceph, Hadoop, NFS, Samba).
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Solid understanding of STIG and IAVA compliance for Linux systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
