    Overview:
    Reliable Results-Driven Technology Services (R2DTS) is seeking Linux Engineers at various levels to join our diverse team.

    As a Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of Linux-based systems across our organization.

    The ideal candidate has a strong background in Linux server administration, and troubleshooting, and a passion for ensuring the reliability and security of our infrastructure.


    Responsibilities:

    • Server Deployment and Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and OpenStack On-Prep cloud to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • System Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions to identify and resolve system issues proactively. Optimize server performance and resource utilization.
    • Security: Implement and maintain STIG and IAVA compliance to safeguard Linux systems.
    • Automation: Implement and maintain ansible automation to streamline routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
    • User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in accordance with security policies. Ensure proper authentication and authorization mechanisms.
    • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data. Test and validate backup procedures regularly.
    • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve system and application issues promptly. Collaborate with other IT teams to address complex problems.
    • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Facilitate knowledge transfer and training.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, including network administrators and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of systems

    Requirements:

    • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to pass a CI polygraph.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant field experience acceptable in lieu of formal degree.
    • Proven experience as a Linux Administrator or similar role.
    • Strong proficiency in Linux server administration (preferably RedHat or CentOS).
    • Knowledge of shell scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python, Ansible).
    • Experience with virtualization technologies (OpenStack, KVM).
    • Experience with storage technologies (Ceph, Hadoop, NFS, Samba).
    • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
    • Solid understanding of STIG and IAVA compliance for Linux systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
