    X-Ray Reader - Aerospace Parts Manufacturing - Day Shift, Swing Shift, Weekend Shift

    Summary:

    The NDT Level II - X-Ray Reader will use non-destructive testing expertise to ensure quality compliance for the company and clients. Duties include interpreting radiographic images, documenting results, developing shooting techniques, calibrating equipment, and training others.

    Essential Functions:
    • Conduct non-destructive testing using radiographic images for quality assurance.
    • Follow instructions for radiographic inspections through technique cards.
    • Evaluate image accuracy and quality.
    • Identify areas in castings that need improvement.
    • Consult with relevant departments regarding recurring imperfections.
    • Approve radiographic reports for accurate inspections.
    • Develop shooting techniques and calibrate equipment.
    • Train team members as necessary.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
    • Understand associated documentation and part routing procedures.
    • Maintain high quality ratings while ensuring efficient production.
    • Work effectively with minimal supervision.
    Education, Certifications and Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Shooter experience.
    • Present radiographic training certificates during the interview if selected.
    • High School diploma or GED required.
    • Vision acuity and color perception must meet necessary standards.
    • Ability to work in various departments when needed.
    Work Conditions:
    • Potential exposure to noise, odors, and fumes.
    Schedule:
    • Day Shift Monday-Thursday
    • Swing Shift Monday-Thursday ($1.00/hr. shift differential)
    • Weekend Day Shift ($1.25/hr. shift differential)
