Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine provider and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives during their most vulnerable moments.
This full-time position offers a dynamic mix of onsite and telehealth work, providing flexibility and variety in your clinical practice.
You will work a standard Monday through Friday schedule with the expectation of taking call 4-6 nights per month and approximately one weekend a month, supporting patients with complex needs and ensuring compassionate end-of-life care.
This role is ideal for physicians with a strong background in hospice or palliative care, interested in working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Engage in diverse patient encounters including IDT consultations, medication management, telehealth visits, and crisis interventions, all while enjoying the professional fulfillment that comes with supporting patients and families through difficult transitions.
Required Skills:
Active Oregon medical license and DEA certification
Board Certification or Board Eligible within five years of residency
FM or IM Board Certification; hospice experience strongly preferred for FM/IM
Proven experience in hospice or palliative care settings
Strong communication, assessment, and crisis management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work onsite, with openness to telehealth options
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Previous experience with telehealth platforms
BLS certification
Comfort working across multiple facilities and with shared call responsibilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Significant hospice or palliative care experience, especially in busy, complex cases
Prior outpatient or inpatient hospice care familiarity
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work onsite as needed, with potential for onsite requirement later in January
Coverage of after-hours calls, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Travel reimbursements and licensure/certification reimbursements where applicable
